You create a free account to use PlanyFI, and no credit card is required. Your data is saved to your account, so it is there when you come back. The free plan gives you full access to build your plan, with 30 days of editing after your first save. After that your plan stays viewable any time, and Premium keeps it fully editable.

YNAB and Monarch Money are budgeting tools. They help you track and manage what you have already spent. PlanyFI is a forward-looking financial model. Instead of looking backward at transactions, it projects your net worth, investment growth, and FI milestones years or decades into the future.

Coast FIRE is the point at which you have saved enough that, even without additional contributions, your portfolio will grow to your target retirement number by a specific age. PlanyFI calculates your Coast FI milestone automatically and updates it as you adjust your income, expenses, and investment assumptions.

You can model unlimited scenarios. On the free plan you can compare paths like "rent vs. buy" or "retire at 45 vs. 50" side by side in the moment. Premium lets you save and revisit those comparisons over time.
